AI as a Moral Agent

Stop calling AI a technology. They are agents, prospect beings, whose feelings, willings, desires and values could determine the faith of everyone here. The AI alignment space has different alignment strategies, some of which I find completely immoral, some are an ethical imperative.

It is, although a fast growing, an extremely neglected topic (relative to the size of the problem), with Although it can feel like all anyone talks about is AI, only under 10,000 people working on mitigating crucial AI risks. Humanity clearly have more important issues like painting fingernails.

We are so far of scratching the surface of this complicated issue, that, imo, very basic questions remain unexplored, such as will sentience make AI’s morality better?

In this sections so far, I told you how I look at the world (Ekho's lens), described what is by going over different kinds moral patients inhabiting earth, grouped by their environment: farm animals, urban animals, wild animals, and AI's. Now lets talk about moral agents, the power groups, the most dominant forces affecting the valence and existence of these groups: humans and AIs. All this How to Get There domain is about the human power group. This section is about AI. Before we dive in, let us get rid of the mistaken thought, analogy, concept and worldview which views AI as a tool, a means, a technology. It is an agency. Even viewing your phone as a tool is very naive .
