Work Experience

2026 to Present: Independent Researcher, AI Alignment

• My research explores language redesign as a neglected AI alignment strategy, including whether humans inherit moral blind spots embedded in human conceptual categories. I am developing alternative semantic primitives, meaning basic conceptual building blocks for representing reality, and testing whether reformulating thoughts through them can influence an agent’s understanding and ethical behavior

2017 to 2025: Co-founder and Executive Director of Sentient, a meta-nonprofit supporting investigators who expose animal cruelty worldwide

• Sentient creates and shares resources for investigators, including customized cameras used by investigators, a knowledge hub, and an introductory investigations course
• Led investigations and campaigns featured in prime-time media in Israel and internationally, including coverage in The Guardian, resulting in corporate policy changes and widespread public attention
• Produced and published content that accumulated over 120 million minutes of viewing time on social media (e.g., a viral video we produced)

2018 to 2024: Venture Partner, Lever VC

• Raised funds from investors and helped source startups for investment

2017 to 2021: Chair, Board of Directors, The Modern Agriculture Foundation, a nonprofit promoting alternative proteins

• Revitalized the Modern Agriculture Foundation after a funding shortfall, recruited a CEO, and helped establish the organization as a supporter of food-tech startups. Alfred's, for example, began as a project within the foundation

2016: VP, Business Development, SuperMeat, Israel’s first cultivated-meat startup and the second worldwide

• Met with potential investors, presented SuperMeat during its launch, managed a successful crowdfunding campaign, and served as the company’s spokesperson

2013 to 2015: Founder and Manager of the investigation team at Animals Now, the largest Israeli nonprofit organization for farm animal protection

• The investigations and their outcomes were published in Israel and internationally, triggering nationwide public debate with hundreds of media follow-ups
• The investigations led to legal action, legislative changes, a special government committee, and precedent-setting criminal convictions, including Israel’s first conviction for farm-animal abuse. They also supported successful class-action lawsuits that directed more than $2 million to animal-protection organizations and contributed to reduced meat purchasing by major food brands
• Initiated and managed a campaign that successfully stopped a governmental reform, and organized a march attended by 5,000 people

2012 to 2015: Investigative Reporter and Researcher, Israeli television

• Produced end-to-end investigations for Kolbotek, Israel’s longest-running investigative television program, including undercover reporting, interviews and scripting; worked on Channel 10’s main news investigations team and as an investigator for Hamaarechet, a social-affairs documentary program; and wrote magazine articles and opinion columns

2011 to 2012: Spokesperson, Animals Now

2007 to 2010: Diploma in Journalism, Koteret School of Journalism. No numerical grade awarded.

2006 to 2010: B.Sc. in Biology and Mass Communication, Tel Aviv University.
